Timeline

The Campus Master Plan process will begin with a robust discovery phase. During the first portion of the effort, the University will gather input from faculty, staff, students, and community partners through surveys, focus groups, and other engagement opportunities.

The master planning team encourages the campus community to participate in this process.

 

Phase 1: Information Gathering, Analysis and Goal Setting

January-June 2026 

  • Review/analyze existing campus data 

  • Review current assumptions regarding strategic priorities, growth projections & current/future space needs 

  • Survey campus community to identify needs, priorities and goals 

  • Conduct peer institution benchmarking 

  • Set goals and establish strategic priorities

Phase 2: Campus Master Plan Preparation

July 2026-June 2027 

  • Develop a Master Plan Framework 

  • Identify future space needs 

  • Develop research facilities master plan 

  • Develop campus connectivity/mobility plan 

  • Develop campus utilities framework 

  • Develop campus technology plan 

  • Conduct historic preservation study and inventory 

  • Establish new design standards
